As you continue through V Rising, you may encounter regions that provide you different debuffs if you linger in them for too long. This article will explain what Silver Exposure is and how to deal with it.
What exactly is silver exposure?
When you reach to the latter levels of the game, you’ll start to meet Silver Exposure, however if you pick up Silver Coins early on, you’ll learn about it sooner.
What is the effect of silver exposure?
When you carry silver, whether money or ore, you will get the “Silver Sickness” debuff. Depending on how many stacks of Silver Sickness you have and if you have any Silver Resistance, this debuff will progressively reduce your health. You will have 6 stacks and receive 4 damage per second while holding 40 Silver Coins without any Silver Resistance. You will not suffer any damage if you have the same coins with 15 Silver Resistance, but you will still have the 6 stacks.
You’ll have 11 stacks and suffer 7 damage per second at 70 Silver Coins without any Silver Resistance. Again, having at least 15 Silver Resistance will mitigate the damage. Looking at the calculations, it looks that 1-6 coins will get you one stack of Silver Sickness, while 7 coins will grant you another stack. When you have 14 coins, you will have 3 stacks, and when you have 21 coins, you will have 4 stacks, and so on. Furthermore, it looks that if you have at least 15 Silver Resistance, you will not be damaged by 70 silver coins, which will give you 11 stacks of Silver Sickness.
How to get rid of Silver Sickness?
The Silver Sickness debuff works in such a manner that you will only receive it when carrying something silver. The disease will be erased as soon as you remove it from your inventory. If you need to carry a lot of silver for any reason, you may mitigate the impact by boosting your Silver Resistance via consumables, gear, or abilities.
Boosting your Silver Resistance
The resistances are shown to the right of your character on the character screen, which is accessible by hitting Tab. This will show you your current resistances to each damaging effect, such as Sun, Garlic, Holy, Fire, and Silver. By boosting your resistance to Silver, you may lower the damage you take from Silver assaults by 7.5 percent while also increasing your maximum stacks. For example, 15 Silver resistance reduces the number of stacks you can sustain before taking damage to 12. As a result, it is usually advised when farming in places where silver will be a concern to develop as much resistance to it as possible.
How to boost Silver Resistance?
There are many ways to boost your resistance to silver. One method is to use consumables to provide a temporary boost that may last up to 20 minutes. The alternative, more permanent approach is to equip gear with Silver Resistance + X.
