YouTube prankster Aris Sureni, known online as TopNotch Idiots, learned the hard way what happens when you push a trained fighter too far. Sureni’s prank on UFC fighter Raul Rosas Jr. took a turn for the worse when the fighter ended up choking him out after getting fed up with the harassment.
Online prank content has been getting bolder, often leading to unexpected consequences. While some pranks generate thousands in ad revenue, others end in trouble—whether it’s a call to the police, arrests, or in this case, a physical confrontation with a pro athlete.
Sureni tracked down Rosas Jr. during a workout session, approaching the bantamweight fighter and his team and claiming that Rosas Jr. was using “his treadmill.” Confronting the entourage, Sureni insisted, “I run every day here at this time, my boy… He’s using my s**t right now.” Rosas Jr.’s team tried to de-escalate by moving the fighter to a different treadmill, but Sureni kept up the tension, staring at them while he ran.
When Rosas Jr. and his crew moved to the sparring area, Sureni continued to mess with them, even using their equipment without permission. This led Rosas Jr., who was wearing boxing gloves, to punch the YouTuber. Though Sureni wanted to stop, his own team egged him on to step into the training ring with Rosas Jr. What followed was a one-sided match where Rosas Jr., with a 10-1-0 record, landed several hits before putting the YouTuber in a choke hold. Despite Sureni’s protests of “it’s a video!” Rosas Jr. held on, and Sureni eventually passed out.
After coming to, Sureni explained that he was a prank YouTuber and a fan of Rosas Jr. Surprisingly, the fighter and his team took it in stride, with Rosas Jr. even complimenting Sureni’s nerve. “When you stepped into the cage, that’s when I knew you had balls,” he said.
