Season 1 of MultiVersus will premiere next week after a little hiatus
The free-to-play crossover fighter game MultiVersus from Warner Bros. will now launch its first season on August 15, according to a tweet from the game’s developer on Thursday night. The premiere of the new season, which was supposed to happen on August 9, was postponed, the studio revealed last week.
Morty from Rick and Morty will be joining the MultiVersus roster on August 23rd, Player First Games revealed alongside the confirmation of the season start date. Morty’s addition to the roster had been delayed last week. In addition, “new modes and content” will be added by Player First Games during the season. Before the season 1 delay, Rick was supposed to join Morty at some point in the season, but now it is uncertain if that will still happen.
In July, MultiVersus entered public beta testing. The cast will expand to include Rick and Morty in addition to the likes of Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark, the Iron Giant, and LeBron James. The game can be played on the PC, Xbox, or PlayStation.
