Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus team-mate Dejan Kulusevski has revealed the only way possible to try and stop the superstar.
The Portugal forward will go down in history as possibly the best player of all time.
His trophy cabinet is outrageous while his goal record is, quite simply, unbelievable.
At Real Madrid, he became their all-time highest goalscorer after netting an astonishing 450 goals in 438 matches.
The 35-year-old already has 66 goals for Juventus while he also holds the record for the most goals in the Champions League.
Many defenders have tried and failed to stop the superstar from scoring with ease.
But one man might have the answer – his Juve team-mate, Kulusevski.
Speaking ahead of Sweden’s match against Portugal in the Nations League, he was full of praise for the former Manchester United man.
And the former Atalanta star insisted the only way to can try prevent Ronaldo from scoring is by getting him frustrated.
Though he did admit that this task is basically impossible.
“There is no one who can stop him. If he has a good day, he decides everything on his own,” Kulusevski said via Aftonbladet.
“We did not manage to stop him last match, but we get another chance on Wednesday.
“I do not know how to stop him, you have to be aggressive get him frustrated.
“I know what it’s like to play against aggressive backs and in the end you get frustrated.”
Kulusevski was speaking before Ronaldo had tested positive for coronavirus, so the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will not be taking on Sweden.
The Portuguese Football Federation confirmed the news, saying: ” Cristiano Ronaldo was released from training with the national team after a positive test for Covid-19, so he will not face Sweden.
“The Portugal international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation.
“Following the positive test, the remaining players underwent new tests on Tuesday morning, and all produced a negative result and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon.”
