Pokemon TCG Lost Origins: Release Date and Buying details
With the upcoming release of Lost Origin, the Pokemon Trading Card Game will continue to introduce new cards to the popular Sword & Shield expansions with a focus on Legends: Arceus favourites Giratina and Zoroark. Some of the more recent updates are the Shiny version Radiant Pokemon and the Trainer Gallery exclusives.
Success with Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) Sword & Shield expansions has been unexpectedly high over the previous few years. New game mechanics and exposure from TCG YouTube broadcasters drove rising demand for the cards, despite the game’s enduring popularity over the decades.
While bigger print runs and The Pokemon Company’s acquisition of the game’s printing rights have helped lessen Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) shortages throughout 2022, some players may still worry about being able to get new expansions when they release, especially if those expansions feature popular Pokemon as featured cards.
Pokemon TCG: Release Date
On September 9, 2022, you will be able to purchase the Lost Origin expansion.
Many other packaging options, such as booster packs, Elite Trainer boxes, and bundles, will be made available for the collection. After the expansions are released, the booster packs will most likely be included in various collector’s boxes, tins, and other Pokemon TCG items.
What might we expect to see in the Lost Origin pack?
Over 190 new cards are coming to the Pokemon Trading Card Game with the Lost Origin expansion.

14 V cards and 1 VMAX card
30 Trainer Gallery cards
15 general Trainer cards
These items and more can be found in Lost Origin’s booster packs. Even though the whole card list has yet to be revealed, we do know that it will feature many highly anticipated Pokemon TCG expansions, such as Giratina VSTAR, Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR, and a Trainer Gallery edition of Charizard featuring Galar Champion Leon.
How to buy the Lost Origin expansion of Pokemon TCG
The Lost Origin expansion is now available at game retailers and retail outlets nationwide. A customer interested in buying a booster pack of the expansion should probably contact their local card and gaming stores in advance to find out if pre-orders or early purchases are required.
Anyone who did not preorder online through the Pokemon Center will have to wait until the day of release to try to find packs of the anticipated Pokemon TCG expansion.
