Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour Reunite for New Netflix Spy Drama
Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour are teaming up once again, this time for an all-new Netflix spy series.
The untitled project is currently in development and comes from Emmy-winning writer Jack Thorne, who recently earned acclaim for Adolescence. The upcoming series will reunite Brown and Harbour in a completely different story after years of playing Eleven and Jim Hopper in Netflix’s hit sci-fi drama.
Brown and Harbour to Play Estranged Father and Daughter
In the new series, Millie Bobby Brown will play Rebecca, an FBI agent who disappears during a mission.
David Harbour stars as Matt Wolfe, a disgraced FBI agent turned security expert who is forced back into the world he left behind after his estranged daughter goes missing.

“Disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour) is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) — now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps — vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him.”
Netflix Promises an Emotional Spy Thriller
Netflix’s Head of Scripted Series for the U.S. and Canada, Jinny Howe, said the company is excited to bring the new thriller to audiences.
“We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before,” Howe said.
She also praised creator Jack Thorne’s storytelling, adding:
“Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite — this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis — is something audiences are going to love. A24 is the perfect partner to bring this story to our members around the world.”
Jack Thorne Leads the Creative Team
Jack Thorne will serve as writer and executive producer on the series.
Brown and Harbour are also attached as executive producers alongside Jake Bongiovi, Robert Brown, Joe Hipps, Patrick McDonald, and KC Wenson.
A24 will produce the series in partnership with Netflix.
What’s Next for Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour?
Brown is also set to return as Enola Holmes in the third installment of Netflix’s mystery film franchise alongside Henry Cavill.
Harbour was most recently seen in HBO Max’s dark comedy DTF St. Louis. He will next reprise his role as Alexei Shostakov, also known as Red Guardian, in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.
Another Major Addition to Netflix’s Lineup
The untitled spy drama joins a growing slate of upcoming Netflix originals.
Other projects currently on the platform’s release schedule include BEEF Season 2, Man on Fire, Nemesis, East of Eden, and The Altruists.
Netflix has not yet announced a title or release date for the new spy series, but the reunion between Brown and Harbour is already shaping up to be one of the streaming service’s most anticipated upcoming projects.
