Speculation over a possible romance between Manchester City star Ruben Dias and presenter Maya Jama is heating up after the pair were spotted wearing matching Cartier bracelets.
The two haven’t made anything official yet, but rumors have been swirling ever since they were seen ringing in the New Year together in Ibiza.
Sources claim they’ve been quietly dating for a couple of months, with Jama, 30, first catching the Portuguese defender’s attention when they met at the European Music Awards.
Talk of their romance has only picked up speed after Valentine’s Day—especially when Jama shared a snap of the bouquet of roses she received after returning to the UK from Cape Town, following the end of the 2025 Love Island All Star season.
According to Game, Set and Match, Dias treated himself—and possibly Jama—to a Cartier ‘LOVE Bracelet’, which comes with a £5,050 price tag.
Jama was seen wearing the sleek accessory in her Instagram post, while Dias was later spotted with the exact same bracelet as he arrived for training ahead of City’s Champions League play-off second leg against Real Madrid.
The latest development comes just weeks after Maya Jama addressed the speculation surrounding her rumoured romance with Ruben Dias, clapping back at a troll on social media.
It all started when a user posted a tweet about people who “sit on the net all day and obsess over strangers and their relationships.”
Maya responded by quoting the tweet, attaching screenshots of the same user’s earlier posts where they reacted to her alleged romance with Dias. In one, they wrote, “She don’t rest,” and in another, they called women who move from relationship to relationship “scary.”
Not one to hold back, Maya hit back with a simple but effective response: “Oh.. but ..” followed by two laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, when Ruben shared a picture that’s believed to include Maya, fans wasted no time in reacting. One wrote, “Maya Jama hard launch,” while others flooded his post with gifs and pictures of her.
One fan was clearly all for the romance, commenting, “I ship Ruben and Maya so bad (sic).” Another took a cheeky dig at Dias’ current injury status, writing, “You can pull Maya Jama but you can’t pull yourself back on the pitch??”
A source told The Sun: “Maya and Ruben swapped numbers at the EMAs and had been chatting, but things really took off in early December.”
When Ruben picked up an injury and was forced to sit out the hectic New Year fixtures, he took the opportunity to ring in 2025 with Maya in Spain. Spending New Year’s Eve together marked a big step forward in their relationship.
“They get on really well and, of course, make a stunning couple, but it’s still early days,” a source revealed.
Jama might need to lift Ruben’s spirits in the coming days after Manchester City’s painful Champions League exit.
