Sliding is now available in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 – but you’ll need to know which button to click to use it.
How to Slide in Fortnite 3
In Fortnite, start running while holding the crouch button. This is the right analogue stick for PlayStation users, but not for all systems.
PS4: Press the right control stick
PS5: Press the right control stick
Xbox One Press: the right control stick
Xbox Series X|S Press: the right control stick
PC: CTRL key
Nintendo Switch: Press the right control stick
Press the same button to halt sliding. You can also slide while firing weapons, which is useful for surprising opponents when on higher ground.
Sliding works best while sprinting down an incline or steep hill.
