How to Earn Exp. Shares in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
1st Method : Cycling Road
Fortunately, you can obtain the Exp. Share rather early in your Sinnoh quest. However, there are two criteria before you can:
- Gardenia, the second Gym Leader in Eterna City, must be defeated.
- Fill out your Sinnoh Pokedex with at least 35 entries.
After you’ve completed those tasks, proceed to the Cycling Road.
There is a structure near the entrance, and inside is Professor Rowan’s assistant, who will examine your Pokedex and then give you the Held Item.
2nd Method #2: Lottery
The lottery system is the second, harder method of acquiring one. Go to the Jubilife City TV Station and then to the Lottery Corner. An extra Exp. Share, like the Master Ball, can be earned if a number lines up to any of your Pokemon IDs.
However, this is pure chance, and some Trainers may never receive it. Still, it’s worth giving it a shot every day since you never know – you might end up with two and be able to level up multiple ‘mon at the same time like a pro.
It is unknown how the Exp. The share will function in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl; if it will remain the same or whether there will be only one that cures the entire party.
