In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, we’ve put together a complete tutorial on how trainers can evolve their Tangela into a Tangrowth.
Tangela, the single-form grass-type from Generation I, gained a fresh new evolutionary form with the release of Generation IV. Trainers who brought their Tangela along and kept one of its mid-level moves were greeted with a pleasant surprise after a few battles in the Sinnoh area.
Tangela was swiftly supplanted by its new form, Tangrowth, as a result of some additional levels.
Here’s how to evolve Tangela into Tangrowth in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
How do you evolve Tangela into Tangrowth?
Tangrowth and Lickilicky both use the same evolutionary process. Trainers must level up Tangela when the Pokemon understands the move “Ancient Power” in order for it to develop into Tangrowth. To evolve, no precise level is required.
Ancient Power is a special rock-type move used by ancient Pokemon that have either been alive for a long time or have been brought back via fossils. It has 5 PP, 100% accuracy, and a power of 60. It has a 10% chance of improving the caster’s Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed by one stage when employed.
Tangela learns Ancient Power when she reaches level 24.
Tangrowth is also called as the “Vine” Pokemon, most likely because its entire body is formed of them. It hunts by lying inactive and blending in with the surrounding vegetation. Tangrowth ensnares victims in its tendrils as it passes by. If these vines are cut by predators, they regrow fast and eternally.
Its vines grow so vigorously during the warm season, according to its PokeDex description, that it is nearly hard to see its eyes. It has the PokeDex entry #465.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are now available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch.
