Free Gift Cards for Xbox One and Xbox Series X Customers
Free Microsoft Store gift cards have been delivered to Xbox One, Xbox One X|S, and Xbox Series X|S owners as a special treat from the software maker. Unfortunately, the freebies offered by Phil Spencer and others appear to be random and maybe restricted. Xbox customers started to talk on Twitter, Reddit, and other corners of the Internet last night that they had gotten a free $10 Microsoft Store gift card from Microsoft for doing nothing at all. For those who are wondering why this seems familiar, it is because Microsoft performs it on a regular basis. Every time, the prize is given away at random and in a limited quantity, and it appears that this has been the case over the years.
Xbox Live Gold membership may be a necessity, but it is not the sole one, since many Xbox Live Gold users have reported receiving nothing in return. However, it is likely that you will need to opt-in to Xbox’s advertising email list. As far as we know, this is how other systems like PlayStation and Nintendo handle this.
No word from Microsoft on this campaign yet, and we do not expect that to change. When always, we will keep you informed as more information becomes available. We will, however, update the story if it does. For now, keep an eye on the email that is linked to your Xbox account.
