FIFA 23: How to Score Volleys
When executed properly, a volley may be one of the most spectacular ways to score a goal, and it can also be incredibly effective. Not much may have changed in the most recent version, but a refresher on how to hit the ball out of the air never hurts. This tutorial will show you how to make volley goals in FIFA 23.
FIFA 23: How to Score Volleys
Playing volleyball in FIFA 23 requires little in the way of button mashing. When the ball is in the air and close to your character, press Circle on the PS4/PS5 or B on the Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S to perform one.
Of course, timing is everything when volleying; only a shot perfectly placed to a player who has the space to pull off a volley and the power to beat the keeper can result in a goal.
If you want to provide your striker with a good cross, we recommend pressing Square/ X on the edge of the box. Keep your striker under control as the ball flies through the air. Aim your volley with the left analog stick after pressing and holding Circle/ B to charge the shot. When you are ready to unleash a devastating barrage, release Circle/ B.
Remember that when it comes to volleys, a weaker blow often carries more weight. It would be unfortunate to overcook the shot and have it go high over the goal. Instead, try putting less pressure on it than you believe is necessary, and even if you do not score, you will at least have a shot on goal that challenges the keeper. Naturally, volleys have more speed and force than regular shots.
Ultimate Team Volley Challenges
If you are studying volleys in preparation for an Ultimate Team challenge, remember that you will need to execute a full volley, not a half volley. What we meant was to make sure you did not allow the ball bounce between the cross and the volley.
