Welcome to our ‘Evil Dead: How To Beat The Homecoming King?’ guide. In this guide we will discuss how to beat the Homecoming King. The Evil Dead game Mission 5, Homecoming King, is (for now), the last Evil Dead game single player mission, with its own prizes and difficulties for those who desire to acquire a new character from Army of Darkness: Lord Arthur. This is perhaps the toughest task so yet – and considering these problems, that’s saying something. In Mission 5 you’ll have to beat the time, navigate your way across the level, collect unique weapons, survive many monster encounters and basically show you’ve mastered many of the main concepts of Evil Dead: The Game. We’ll show you the easiest approach to get through Mission 5, Homecoming King, using our walkthrough and suggestions below.
Grab the shack’s supplies and the hidden shovel
You’ll start off at a shanty adjacent to a damaged automobile, looting it for Amulets and the crossbow. Go to the second home in Lucky Valley Lodge and investigate the basement for another Amulet and a Shovel, a superior weapon than the cleaver.
Random skeleton minions appear all across the area, generally with shields that block the initial strike and prevent damage (though can still stagger). Even if you hit the shield with a shovel strike, a typical skeleton will be susceptible to a takedown. The strike/takedown combination is the most efficient and successful pattern in this assignment.
Get Kandarian Dagger from Fishing Village or Flight 666
It’s a strange little object, but the Kandarian Dagger may be discovered in either the Fishing Village or the wreckage of Flight 666 to the north of the map. Find a neighbouring automobile and go there. Kill any skeletons in your way, take the Dagger, and flee before more appear. Next, a familiar place:
Kill Deadite Scotty in Knowby Cabin
The Necronomicon is always at Knowby Cabin, however the Kandarian Dagger is in one of two places. The main area has new resources, a rare Fire Axe, and an Epic Meat Cleaver. Don’t touch the Necronomicon yet; instead, use the Fire Axe to slay Deadite Scotty. Scotty’s charging strikes miss you, so use your crossbow to kill him. Gather objects from around the cabin, heal/shield as needed, and interact with the book to battle.
Grab the Necronomicon and survive 8 skeletons
After picking up the book, you’ll be stuck in until you fight eight skeletons. With just two directions for them to come from and more ambient light, you’ll have a better grasp of the environment and your adversaries. Crossbow headshots in entrances and corridors, and strike/takedown combination. Some will drop Shemp’s Cola, while the last will drop an Epic Crossbow (you should grab it, because it won’t last long).
Enter the Portal and defeat Evil Ash
Now proceed north to the mine’s Portal. As you approach, Evil Ash will arrive, triggering a boss battle that isn’t. The player can’t win; they must live until the top-right timer runs out, at which point Evil Ash disappears and the new phase starts.
In this scene, Evil Ash conjures skeletons to defend himself before unleashing lethal melee assaults. Kill the skeletons to avoid being mobbed, then keep away from Ash! Since you can’t kill him, there’s no point in fighting. We’ll discuss how to remove his head later in this tutorial.
Find a legendary crossbow and more at the STP.
Your next stop is Payne Manor to collect a sword that can slay Evil Ash, but first go to the “Sewage Treatment Plant” region on the map. A wrecked automobile there contains ammunition, materials, and a legendary crossbow. Pounce! It’ll be your ally for the remainder of the quest. After that, go to Payne Manor.
Enter Payne Manor through the flute skeletons.
As you approach Payne Manor, you’ll see many red crosses. Aside from the one on Payne Manor, they all indicate flute-playing skeletons you need to kill; they’re maintaining a spell that shuts the manor’s doors. Kill them all swiftly, while avoiding the more powerful elite skeletons. Payne Manor opens once you kill the final one.
Get resources and Arthur’s Sword (in that order)
Skeletons will keep spawning outside and harassing you within Payne Manor, but don’t take the weapon yet. If you do, the next goal will activate, move the storm/mist, and making it difficult to search the manor for amulets, ammunition, and items. We don’t advocate the legendary blunderbuss over the famous crossbow upstairs. We simply believe the crossbow is superior overall. Gather your belongings quickly, then grab the weapon. It’s a lethal melee weapon that kills most enemies in one hit, but not Evil Ash. This is your final opportunity to restock before the mission’s toughest section.
Use the North Portal to time travel
Now run/drive back to the mining portal where you originally saw Evil Ash. Try to dodge superfluous foes and watch your back for assassins. Play sparingly until you reach the Portal and return to the Castle Kandar Dungeons. Once you appear, take the Amulet and enter the cage on the left to begin the first of two boss bouts.
Kill the Pit Deadite efficiently
No more storm/mist, so take your time with this battle. The Pit Deadite is a tank with one move: rushing towards you with melee swipes. Ration your stamina, escape these assaults with a sidestep, and conduct a few melee strikes before stepping back. Ranged attacks are useless; you’ll need more soon.
Take your time and don’t hurry to lose as little health as possible before the next danger. Play as carefully as possible until the Deadite is defeated; there’s no hurry to beat the time or endanger your neck. Use the Amulet and Cola it drops in the next battle.
