The teaser for Destiny 2’s new content season has been released, offering a plethora of details on what Guardians may expect to see in the game during Season 17.
The trailer, which is posted below, exposes the new season’s themes, some of the weapons and armor that players may win, the location of the new dungeon that will be available this week, and a slew of new tale information.
Bungie previously stated that the trailer would be released at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday, May 24, just two hours before the season officially begins for participants. However, that strategy appears to have failed after PlayStation Japan released its version of the clip on YouTube on Monday night.
With the Japanese language trailer already out, there wasn’t much reason to delay the English language version, so Bungie released it a little more than 14 hours early than expected.
The official Season of the Haunted landing page has also been launched, with a lot more information about what you’ll actually do this season. Shiro-4’s Trespasser exotic sidearm, as well as a variety of Opulent and Seasonal weaponry and armor, is included with the gear.
The armor illuminates, which is rather cool. The Solar category has also been completely redesigned.
Season 17 will also bring updates to Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, which Lauren has compiled here. There are also rumors circulating about the promised new dungeon, now titled Luna’s Ward, which will be available on May 27.
Season of the Haunted will premiere on May 24 at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT/ 6 p.m. BST/ 7 p.m. CEST, or May 25 at 3 a.m. AEST.
