Destiny 2: How to Complete the Rite of Dawning Quest
The holiday event in Destiny 2 has added new goals to grind for. The event begins with a short tutorial quest and ends with the Rite of Dawning. This seasonal event gives gamers more objectives to accomplish, but no new content. A combination of these features, combined with the 30th-anniversary material, should help Destiny 2‘s upcoming expansion get through the final week of hurdles. Let’s review the Rite of Dawning.
How to Complete the Rite of Dawning Quest
After talking to Commander Zavala, head to Firebase Hades in the EDZ. To interact with the tablet, go to the far left side of the firebase. When you get close enough to the tablet, a tiny marking will appear over it to help you find it.
After obtaining the tablet, complete the neighboring Pathfinder’s Crash Lost Sector. Finishing the lost sector earns you a ceremonial cup. Along with the cup, you must collect 25 ritual schematics from the deceased Cabal. This is good because you will kill practically all the Cabal needed to finish the Lost Sector.
Torobatl Ceremonial Vestments can be obtained by completing the Arms Dealer strike. You’ll get this as a prize from the boss’s final chest. This is a simple attack that should be completed quickly. Following the strike, produce three Dark Chocolate Motes for the Drifter.
To prepare the Drifter’s cookies, you’ll need Taken Butter, Null Taste, and Dawning Essence. To gain Taken Butter, you must defeat the Taken Faction. The Essence of Dawning is granted for completing any action during the Dawning.
Give the Drifter his Motes and you get a bottle of Torobatlian Red. Report your progress to Commander Zavala, who will assign you the Proving Grounds Strike. This will be a rapid strike and shouldn’t take long.
After the Strike, report back to Commander Zavala. To claim your event insignia and exotic event ship, talk to Eva. Both of these Dawning missions are straightforward to accomplish and provide good lore for Destiny 2. Getting them done will take some effort, but the rewards are well worth it.
