Metaphor, a streamer of Warzone, has shared fresh information on Warzone 2, including the addition of Highrise and the removal of gas.
Warzone 2’s release date was supposedly set for November 16 in leaked Activision Blizzard papers.
The release of the much awaited sequel to Warzone is still a few months away, but hints have been dropping here and there.
“I have seen gameplay of Multiplayer/DMZ/Warzone 2 and can confirm that it looks gorgeous visually,” Metaphor said in August. There is more attention to detail on the inside of the structures, and the animation feels more natural.
More details were revealed by Metaphor, including the presence of AI bots, the return of Highrise, and modifications to the storm system.
A word of caution: all leaks should be treated with a grain of salt because they have not been independently verified.
A slew of new additions to Warzone 2 were Tweeted about by Metaphor.
Since the game’s inception, gas has always been present in Warzone, and the ability to equip and dismount gas masks was recently added.
The $100,000 World Series of Warzone 2022 Solo Yolo event was won by Fifakill thanks to a spectacular play made during a storm, although such a victory may be impossible in Warzone 2.
The June announcement trailer for Modern Warfare 2 teased the return of Highrise, the first and most popular map in the game.
Metaphor claims that Highrise’s chopper may be put to good use, lending credence to the initial screenshots.
The Animation Director of Infinity Ward, Mark Grigsby, has previously indicated that NPCs will “provide an interesting and engaging experience” for Call of Duty players.
The discovery of different-sized backpacks is new information that has the potential to alter the game’s meta. The livestream alluded to floor loot and looting containers, but did not specifically disclose drop rates for loadouts.
On September 15, the upcoming Call of Duty game, aptly titled Call of Duty Next, will be released.
