NASA says a giant asteroid double the size of Nelson’s Column is set to enter Earth’s orbit. The space agency has named the rock, which is expected to pass the planet on Thursday, 2020 TGI. NASA astronomers are currently tracking around 2,000 asteroids, comets and other objects that could fly close to Earth.
Mac and cheese craving wins man $200k
A man has credited his craving for macaroni and cheese for his $200,000 (£154,501) lottery jackpot win. Marquetton Carraway, who lives in North Carolina, said he only went to the shops to buy ingredients for a mac ‘n’ cheese feast. “When I got to the counter, the man gave me my change, and I was about to walk out the store until something told me to buy a ticket,” he said.
