Among Us has quickly become one of the biggest games of the year, and its latest player is none other than U.S. Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Tonight at 9 p.m. EST, Ocasio-Cortez will stream the game on her Twitch channel as part of an effort to get more people to vote. She will be joined on the stream by streamers like Pokimane, Hasan Piker, and others.
Ocasio-Cortez first floated the idea of a stream on Oct. 19, tweeting that she’d never played the game but might play it as a way to “get out the vote.” After that, she put out a call for people to play with her, recruiting Pokimane and Piker in the process.
Anyone want to play Among Us with me on Twitch to get out the vote? (I’ve never played but it looks like a lot of fun)

The purpose of the stream, she explained, is to help people make their voting plans via iwillvote.com, while having fun playing the new game.
This isn’t the first time that Ocasio-Cortez has been on Twitch, as she appeared on a charity stream in 2019, but it will be the first time she streams from her own channel.
In case you won’t be able to watch the stream, we also have guides for the voting process, including how to mail in your vote.
