$87 million Jackpot – Mega Millions winning numbers for 1st November 2022

On this past Tuesday, the November 1st, 2022 Mega Millions drawing took place, offering a total jackpot of $87 million (or $43.2 million in cash).

The winning numbers were: 5-9-15-16-17 .

The Mega Ball: 25

The Power Play multiplier: 3x

How much is a Mega Millions ticket?

Tickets for Mega Millions cost $2 per line. Choose six numbers, one from each of two ranges (1–70 for the white-ball game and 1–25 for the black-ball game), to play (which is the golden Mega Ball). There’s also a “Quick Pick” or “Easy Pick” option available. If your bet includes all six identical numbers, you win the prize!

Each drawing’s jackpot is predetermined by the total price of tickets sold in the previous drawings.

Mega Millions offers nine different chances to win, from the jackpot to a return on your ticket price. The price of the ticket goes up by $1 when additional game options like Power Play are added.

If the ball you pick is a winner, your payout will be multiplied by the number of times that ball’s winning number occurs in that ball (up to a maximum of 10 times). Alternate game modes can be selected for an additional fee.

Tickets purchased online are more expensive than those purchased at a brick-and-mortar location, but they allow you to take part in the event from any location in the world.

The last two Jackpot winning tickets, worth a combined $494,000,000, were purchased in California and Florida for the drawing on October 14, 2022. So, the twenty million dollar jackpot started on October 18th.
