Mega Millions: How to Play
It pays $2 for each line in the Mega Millions lottery. You’ll need to pick six numbers from two sets to play: five from 1 to 70 (drawn with white balls) and one from 1 to 25. (which is the golden Mega Ball). The Quick Pick/Easy Pick option is also available. If you get all six numbers right, you win the whole pot.
Each drawing’s jackpot is tallied from the previous day’s ticket sales and publicised beforehand.
Mega Millions offers players nine different opportunities to win, from the jackpot to a return on their ticket price. The price of the ticket goes up by $1 when additional game options like Power Play are added.
If the ball you pick is the winning one, your payout will be multiplied by the number of times that number appears in that ball, up to a maximum of ten times. Alternate game modes can be selected for an additional fee.
Tickets purchased online are more expensive than those purchased at a shop, but they allow you to take part in the event from any location in the world.
