With each rollover, the multimillion-dollar jackpot increases, yet the price of a ticket is only $2 or $3, depending on whether or not you participate.
Tickets for Powerball are $2 each, Powerball plus Power Play are $3, Powerball with Double Play are $3, and Powerball L with Power Play and Double Play are $4.
Make your purchase at a ticket machine or through a ticket salesperson. With the five panels (labeled A through E) on each ticket, you can pay once for each of the possible outcomes.
Powerball is not available to residents of Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, or Utah. Participants, however, can be from any of the other 45 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
