Mega Millions: How to Play
Tickets for Mega Millions cost $2 per line. To play, pick six numbers, five from 1 to 70 (drawn with white balls) and one from 1 to 25 (which is the golden Mega Ball).
The Quick Pick/Easy Pick option is available as well. If your bet includes all six of the winning numbers, you win the jackpot!
Previous ticket sales data is used to calculate the jackpot, which is then publicly publicised just prior to each drawing.
Mega Millions offers nine different prize tiers, from the jackpot all the way down to a return on your ticket price. The price of the ticket goes up by $1 when additional game options like Power Play are added.
This option allows you to select a ball and increase your payout by the number of times that ball appears in the winning combination (up to a maximum of 10 times). The player can also pay extra to customise their gaming experience with a variety of playable alternatives.
The price of the ticket is more if you purchase it online rather than at a brick and mortar store, but this allows you to take part in the event from any location in the world.
