Each rollover increases the multimillion-dollar jackpot, and each ticket costs only $2 or $3, depending on whether or not you participate.
One Powerball ticket costs $2, two Powerball tickets cost $3, three Powerball tickets cost $3 with Double Play, and four Powerball L tickets cost $4 with Power Play and Double Play.
Obtain a ticket from a vendor. There are five separate sections, labelled A through E, on every ticket.
People from Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah are unable to play Powerball. Participants, however, need to be citizens of the other 45 states or of the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands to take part.
