Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. EDT, the Powerball is selected, giving you three chances to win each week.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each, whereas Powerball + Power Play tickets cost $3, Powerball + Double Play tickets cost $4, and Powerball L tickets cost $6 each.
A ticket can be bought from a vendor. There are five separate panels, labelled A through E, on each ticket.
Those residing in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah are ineligible to participate in Powerball. But those from the other 45 states, DC, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands are welcome to join in.
