Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Where To Find Dondons
Zelda’s new beast in 2023, the Dondon, is most like a hippo, rhino, or bison. Additionally, they are so uncommon that it is perfectly conceivable for a Tears of the Kingdom player to go the entire game without ever seeing one.
However, they do have a predictable spawn position. In particular, a small herd of Dondons is housed in the vicinity of the Lakeside Stable. This herd can be found at (1543, -3355, 0058) coordinates.
Dondons are mysterious not only because they are hard to find, but also because they don’t seem to do… much. Dondons are unable to be hurt by players since they may easily run away or make noise to show their discontent.
Their sole function is to supply the gaming community with gems. You can easily get a Dondon to eat a Luminous Stone by tossing it in front of it and coming back later. A jewel, possibly an amber, topaz, sapphire, ruby, or opal, will have been ejected by the beast. The digestive system of a Dondon does not appear to be a source of diamonds.
In-game, they are described as follows: Southern regions are home to a brand-new kind of four-legged animal. We know of only five of these animals in all of Hyrule. It’s unclear what they eat. It is known, however, that they are easily frightened and that the gigantic horns they carry can be deadly.
Whether it’s through hidden easter eggs in The Last of Us, or in a future installment of The Legend of Zelda, it would be fascinating to learn the truth about the massive creatures.
