You probably won’t make it through Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom unscathed. That is, make sure you save a good number of hearts for just such an emergency.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to increase health & stamina
Earning four Lights of Blessings and exchanging them with a Goddess Statue is still the only way to increase your health and stamina in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
You quickly find that completing a Shrinking World will reward you with a Light of Blessing. At the end of each Shrine’s maze of challenges, you’ll be rewarded with a Light of Blessing.
You can choose between a health and stamina boost if you visit one of the game’s Goddess Statues after completing four shrines and receiving four blessings.
To make things simpler, consider the following:
- Find and complete a Shrine.
- Receive the Light of Blessing at the end of the trial.
- Repeat this process another three times.
- Once you have four, head to your nearest Goddess Statue.
- Select which of the two upgrades you want.
- Then keep repeating all the above steps until your health and stamina are maxed out.
Your health and vitality can always be restored at a later time if you ever come to regret the choices you’ve made.
