Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to Get & Use Star Fragments
Star Fragments return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, serving the same purpose as they did in Breath of the Wild but remaining just as elusive. This guide will show you where to find Star Fragments and how to put them to good use in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to Get Fragments
Star Fragments can be collected in Tears of the Kingdom by keeping a sharp watch out for falling stars, just as they could have been in Breath of the Wild.
Keep your camera focused on any bright rays of light that appear to be descending from the sky while you’re out and about running. It’s important to keep an eye out for shooting stars at all times, not just at night like in Breath of the Wild.
The Star Fragment can be found by traveling to the spot where the shooting star crashed on Earth. The Star Pieces won’t be around forever, though, so keep that in mind. Once you see a shooting star, you’ll only have a few minutes to collect them before they’re out of reach forever.
It’s also worth noting that teleporting to a position somewhat close by won’t assist, as doing so would cause the shooting star’s location to be reset.
How to Use Star Fragments
In Tears of the Kingdom, you can spend Star Fragments for a few different things, but the major one is improving your armor at the Great Fairy Fountains. However, the following are some of their more unusual applications:
- Used as an armor upgrade material.
- Can be sold for 200 Rupees.
- Can be used for weapon fusion.
Armor enhancements are a great use of Fragments because they often result in noticeable improvements to Link’s base stats.
