Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to Clear Courage Island
From Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower in Central Hyrule, players can set sail for Courage Island. However, if you haven’t already done so, getting the paraglider before the trial begins is highly suggested.
You can see Courage Island from above and navigate your way there. You can get some much-needed rest on the neighboring floating landscape, refuel your energy, and press on until you reach a secure landing spot.
One of the initial challenges on Courage Island requires players to make contact with the glowing green hand. The good news is that there is no pressure to perform under pressure in the first round. Players are prompted to begin the challenge by diving through a green circle, with subsequent dives setting off more rings.
If you don’t travel through each ring, the trial will reset and you’ll have to start over. Players, however, need not plunge straight into the circle, as scoring can be accomplished from a more peripheral position. You can also use your paraglider to go back on track if you fall off course, however you won’t have as much time to do so during the timed battle.
Players need not fear drowning if they make it to the final ring, as it will be situated above the sea. Reaching this area will grant access to the Taunhiy Shrine and introduce you to a Steward Construct who can fill you in on the Dive Ceremony that takes place on Courage Island.
The ritual of exchanging one Zonai Charge with the Steward Construct to initiate play begins with this transaction. The first challenge of the Diving Ceremony is to swim across the same six rings in under 35 seconds. To accomplish this, you should dive at a constant acceleration and only use the paraglider for brief periods of time.
The Steward Construct awards the Glide Shirt (2 base Defense, potential increase to Skydive Mobility) to players who make it to the end of the match. The next trial only gives you 20 seconds, so utilize this information to your advantage. The good news is that players are free to do this as many times as they choose, and it should get less challenging each time.
Once you’ve completed the third diving contest, you’ll be able to purchase the Large Zonai Charge to increase the power of your devices. Players with an abundance of Zonai Charges can repeat the dive racing challenge on Courage Island.
