Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – How to Change Clothes
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s inventory may be accessed by pressing L, where you’ll find a tab labeled “Armor.” Here you will be able to browse all of your possible clothing selections for Link.
Select the article of clothing you want Link to wear to open its context menu, and then choose Equip from the submenu.
This will cause Link to be outfitted with the item, altering his look and bestowing any bonuses (such as Resistances) that it may have.
How to get More Outfits
While in the first area and going through the lesson, you’ll be given a starter outfit to wear. Unfortunately, I missed the instructional stage where you have to find and unlock chests to earn these stuff, thus poor Link is still without a top half of clothing.
Visiting new places will allow you to have access to more wardrobe options. For instance, after using my new Ascent skill to ascend to a previously unreachable portion of the mountain while adventuring and climbing around the cold terrain of Great Sky Island, I discovered a little shelter with a bonfire and chest.
When I opened the chest, I found a pair of Archaic Warm Graves pants that provide Link with enhanced Cold Resistance. You never know what you’ll find, even when you go back to regions you thought you’d already cleared out, and this is part of what makes exploration so fascinating and surprising in Tears of the Kingdom.
