YouTube Demonetized TheActMan Channel
Perhaps the most astonishing aspect of TheActMan and QuantumTV’s YouTube rivalry is that it all started with an Elden Ring review. The conflict has now gone beyond its back-and-forth dynamic, resulting in doxing, the possibility of legal action, and a series of YouTube videos by TheActMan detailing all that goes on behind the scenes. Like Twitch, YouTube is no stranger to bizarre events: Epic Meal Time’s Harley recently challenged DrDisrespect to a boxing bout on the platform. The drama between TheActMan and QuantumTV, on the other hand, is genuinely amazing, and it has the potential to become a landmark case for YouTube, particularly when it comes to how they handle violations of their own terms of service.
This is because TheActMan recently devoted his whole channel to exposing QuantumTV’s violations of the terms of service, pointing out not only how QuantumTV did so, but also where he attempted to bury his tracks and avoid suspicion. QuantumTV also commented on the incident, criticizing TheActMan and other YouTubers for the drama. However, YouTube appears to have agreed with QuantumTV in this case, as TheActMan’s whole channel has been demonetized.
A segment of TheActMan’s stream was captured and submitted to Reddit by Reddit user KonaboF; in the tape, TheActMan disclosed that YouTube had demonetized his channel while he was in a meeting with some of their representatives. Users on Reddit rushed to TheActMan’s defense, accusing YouTube of being hypocritical and siding with the wrong side. There have even been demands for TheActMan to sue, similar to TheAngryJoeShow’s threat to CBS on YouTube.
TheActMan and others chastised QuantumTV for a terrible Elden Ring review, to which QuantumTV retaliated by attacking them. In response, TheActMan dug deeper and discovered that QuantumTV has repeatedly broken YouTube’s terms of service, including making statements that would make IShowSpeed’s misogynistic Valorant diatribe look mild. QuantumTV then doxed TheActMan’s mother and dialed her home number. Many people anticipated that this information, which was revealed by TheActMan and validated by QuantumTV, would compel YouTube to respond, and they were correct. However, TheActMan’s movies were removed and his channel was demonetized as a result of the response.
TheActMan says his YouTube channel was demonetized as a result of a series of satirical tweets in which he joked about doxing YouTube representatives, which he swiftly removed after realizing they were being misinterpreted. To be honest, the two YouTubers will either end up in court or have to settle the argument with a challenge: perhaps QuantumTV will take a page from DrDisrespect’s answer to YouTube’s Harley and hold a boxing match.
