Ye Goes on social media rants on Pete Davidson, Kwanzaa and more
On Wednesday afternoon, Kanye West took aim at Kwanzaa before making another nasty Pete Davidson joke and displaying some family strife.

Someone may have said, “What the fuck is Kwanzaa and who made up that bullshit up?” Kanye updated his Instagram. “Everyone lives in LA for the check anyway so no one really cares about their children being indoctrinated.”
Ye was obviously aware that his opinion was inflammatory, even though he did not elaborate on the motivation for the post. In the caption, he dared Instagram’s parent company, Meta, and its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, to block him once more.

As soon as the post went live, Kanye deleted nearly all of the content from his Instagram account, replacing it with photos of Serena Williams and the late Virgil Abloh and further comments on the importance of education.
“My kids going to Donda. They not going to Sierra Canyon. Charlemagne the God [sic] and Kris. Get your motherfucking popcorn,”. It was captioned, “Hi Hilary Hi Mark You gonna take me off instagram.”

In the 1960s, Black activist and academic Maulana Karenga developed Kwanzaa to honour the shared ideals, history, and community of African diasporic peoples. The term “first fruits” (matunda ya kwanza) is the source of the festival’s English name.

Donda Academy, a private Christian school for grades K-12, was founded by West in 2021 and is located in Simi Valley, California. The school’s new project-based approach helps pupils “grow in their faith and community through daily all-school worship and celebration at Sunday Service.”
Yeezy shared a photo of the first day of school at Donda Academy yesterday. The kids were all decked out in black Yeezy Foam Runners and long sleeve shirts bearing the dove mascot as they stood around tables.

Ye continued on his theme of family and parenting by dropping an unprovoked jab at Davidson’s expense, asking how his children’s tattoos were holding up in the emergency room.
