WWE Raw Results: Winners, Reaction, and Highlights from October 18

Crown Jewel airs on the WWE Network on Peacock on Thursday, meaning Monday’s Raw was the last chance WWE had to tweak the lineup. Jinder Mahal defeated Xavier Woods in the King of the Ring event, while Doudrop faced Shayna Baszler in the Queen’s Crown competition.

The victors of the matches will compete in the tournament finals in Saudi Arabia against Finn Balor and Zelina Vega, respectively. Charlotte Flair defended her Raw women’s title against Bianca Belair, while The Street Profits faced RK-Bro. Let’s take a look at what transpired on WWE Raw’s farewell show prior to Crown Jewel.

    Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal

At the opening of the show, Charlotte made a promo about how she was going to beat Belair tonight to keep her Raw women’s title. The EST entered the ring with her and pledged to take the championship to Crown Jewel with her so she could become a two-time champion.

The KOTR semifinals match between Woods and Mahal was the opening match of the night. At ringside, Kofi Kingston, Veer, and Shanky were all there.

Mahal and Woods had clashed horns, and the former quickly dispatched the latter. Woods threw Mahal into the middle rope and followed up with a dropkick to the back and numerous chops. For a few minutes until the commercial break, the Maharaja recovered the upper hand and kept Woods on the defensive.

When we returned, Woods was making a comeback, but Mahal blocked a DDT with a two-count slam. Woods recovered, but for the Khallas, he jumped right into Mahal’s arms. Woods made it to the ropes just in time to beat the ref’s count. Mahal pinned him on the top turnbuckle, but Woods fought back and won with a massive elbow drop.

    Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Theory

Austin Theory and R-Truth agreed to a match after a confrontation backstage when Reggie was trying to escape other Superstars who coveted his 24/7 title.

The truth came out, exposing Jeff Hardy’s bait-and-switch. As he walked in, the Charismatic Enigma appeared energized. Theory and Hardy got into a stalemate, as the former backed the latter into a corner for a clean break.

Hardy was knocked down by Theory, who ridiculed his characteristic dance. Before pounding him with a dropkick, Hardy rolled him up for a two-count. Theory rolled out of the ring and landed on the floor with a neck breaker.

When we returned after our break, Theory was still in charge of the action. Hardy began to rally and scored a two-count with a series of rapid moves. They fought outside the ring, where Hardy hit Poetry in Motion.

He was ready for the Swanton, but Theory tripped him on the top rope and hit his finisher for the victory. After the bout, Hardy exacted his vengeance by hitting the Twist of Fate before taking a photo with the downed Theory.

Dirty Dawgz vs. Big E and Drew McIntyre

As they prepared to face Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, Big E and Drew McIntyre appeared to have put last week’s miscommunication behind them. The WWE champion took the fight to The Showoff and got the first two knockdowns. McIntyre was brought in to administer a gut punch and a stiff chest chop.

Roode joined the fray, but The Scottish Warrior remained in command. When Big E returned, The Glorious One devoured a large back elbow. Big E threw The Showoff into the timekeeper’s section, but Ziggler saved his teammate from a splash on the apron. Roode slammed him into the steel stairwell, forcing us to take a break.

When we returned from the commercial break, we saw The Dirty Dawgz using quick tags and double-team manoeuvres to keep Big E isolated in their corner. When McIntyre arrived, he went after both men at the same moment.

A tense moment on the apron resulted from a timing issue between Big E and Ziggler. The Scottish Warrior finally tagged into the WWE title, allowing him to finish Roode with the Big Ending for the victory.

    Mansoor vs. Cedric Alexander

Shelton Benjamin led Cedric Alexander to the ring for his match against the now-solo Mansoor. They traded a few moves before Mansoor scored a two-count with a standing moonsault. Alexander landed a lovely modified pump handle suplex.

He put Mansoor in a sitting chinlock for a little while to keep him grounded, but the former NXT Superstar was able to reverse the situation and hit a neck breaker for the victory.

Mustafa Ali emerged after the contest, still dissatisfied with his former companion. He pledged that he would beat Mansoor in Saudi Arabia to take away his smile. Mansoor stated that he would prove Ali’s cowardice at Crown Jewel.

    Street Profits vs. RK-Bro

Randy Orton and Riddle had about with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins on this week’s show before facing AJ Styles and Omos on Thursday. Riddle and Ford got the ball rolling for their respective clubs. The Bro came close to pinning Ford, but he couldn’t achieve the three-count. Ford snatched his head from his shoulders and yanked him down hard.

Dawkins tagged in and delivered a beautiful dropkick before slamming Ford into Riddle for a two-count. Orton yanked Dawkins out of the ring after Riddle countered a double suplex. Ford used a massive dive over the top rope to take down both members of RK-Bro.

After taking a breather, we returned to witness Ford and Orton swapping moves. Before tagging Riddle back in, the Viper threw him down with a clothesline. Dawkins was given the hot tag and immediately set to work on The Bro.

Riddle smacked him across the face with a knee. Both Orton and Ford entered the ring, and The Legend Killer delivered his signature power slam and DDT. The match was called off as AJ Styles and Omos walked out and caused a disqualification.

Doudrop vs. Shayna Baszler (Queen’s Crown Semifinal)

Doudrop faced Baszler in the semifinals of the Queen’s Crown tournament for the chance to face Zelina Vega in the finals at Crown Jewel. While the match was in progress, Vega stepped out and perched on the throne WWE had set up on the stage. Doudrop pushed Baszler into the corner, but The Queen of Spades tried a stick-and-move strategy with leg kicks.

Doudrop hit a cannonball in the corner, but the Queen of Spades shifted into submission when she put Baszler on her shoulder. Doudrop was able to extricate herself, however, she was unable to complete the running crossbody. Baszler reintroduced her to the Kirifuda Clutch. Doudrop won the match by rolling back into a pin after a protracted fight.

    Mace vs. Finn Balor

Finn Balor took on Mace, who was missing T-Bar for some reason, and Woods came out to watch from the throne. The Prince attempted to secure a wristlock, but Mace quickly outmuscled him and knocked him out for a one-count. With a knee to the torso and a clubbing punch to the back, he drilled Balor.

Before applying a nerve grip, Mace hit a spinning side slam for another near-fall. As he began his comeback, the Irishman hit a jumping double stomp. He made a couple more moves before delivering the Coup de Grace to Mace.

(Raw Women’s Championship) Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair

The Raw women’s title match between Charlotte and Belair was the night’s main event. They began with a competitive exchange that culminated with both women simultaneously attempting a dropkick.

The EST dragged the champion to the corner and dropped her on the apron with a dropkick. She was pulled out of the ring by her braid and thrown over the announce table by the Queen.

Belair hit a bodyslam as we returned from a break. The Queen sprang back up and landed a body kick and some chops. She attempted Bianca’s iconic moonsault, but The EST raised her knees and performed the move herself.

Belair pulled her up for a two-count with a great delayed vertical suplex. Charlotte landed another near-fall with Andrade’s famous moonsault. As Belair hit a spinebuster, the audience began chanting “This is fantastic.”

They took the fight outside the ring, where Belair got his revenge by throwing the champion over the announce table. When we returned from another break, they were trading strikes. Belair evaded one boot, but the second one slammed into her and knocked her out.

The EST evaded Natural Selection by hitting a two-count with a modified Glam Slam. The Queen delivered another massive spear for a near-fall that brought the contest to a close. Charlotte was turned inside out by Belair’s German suplex, but she couldn’t make the three-count.

Charlotte ended up grabbing a chair and disqualifying herself. Belair snatched it from her and smacked her across the face with it to get the last word. Belair stood tall at the end of the show.
