WWDC 2022: Apple announces new MacBook Air
The new Apple MacBook Air, the company’s latest revamp of one of the best notebooks ever created, was finally unveiled on Monday at its WWDC 2022 event. Some major elements of the MacBook Air have been changed and are now available in a variety of colors. It will likewise be powered by the Apple M2 CPU and will have the same fanless, silent architecture as the previous model. The MacBook Air, according to Apple, is the best-selling laptop in the world. It has been revamped around the M2 CPU and is now slimmer with an all-aluminum body. The MacBook Air 2022 has a 20 percent smaller body than the previous MacBook Air and weighs only 2.7 pounds. It comes in four colors: Space Gray, Silver, Starlight, and Midnight.
MagSafe charging is back on the MacBook Air, and the curving clamshell has been replaced by a design with more solid lines. The bezels are thinner, but the MacBook Air gets the Notch for the first time. The new MacBook Air 2022 also includes the Liquid Retina Display, which has a brightness of up to 500 nits, compared to a maximum of 400 units on the M1 MacBook Air. The display will also be capable of displaying up to 1 billion colors.
The webcam has been upgraded to 1080p, and the four-speaker sound system and microphones have been placed between the keyboard and display for a smaller form factor. The MacBook Air 2022’s battery life is anticipated to be 18 hours, and it enables rapid charging. The MacBook Air 2022 will be released in July 2022, with a starting price of $1,199.
