Woolim Entertainment has confirmed the disbandment of the girl group Lovelyz after 7 years.

Woollim Entertainment has announced the disbandment of their girl group Lovelyz after seven years. The agency issued an official statement confirming the disbandment and providing additional details. It’s also been revealed that member Baby Soul has renewed a long-term contract with the agency for her future solo endeavours.

Lovelyz members’ exclusive contract with Woolim Entertainment is set to expire on November 16, 2021, according to the statement. After much deliberation, seven Lovelyz members – Yoo Ji Ae, Seo Ji Soo, Lee Mi Joo, Kei, JIN, Ryu Soo Jung, and Jeong Ye In – have decided to pursue their individual paths, and the company has decided to support their decisions.

Baby Soul, on the other hand, renewed her contract based on the long-standing trust she had built with the agency. Woolim Entertainment stated that they intend to provide full support for her new venture as well as her future activities. They also thanked the members for giving their all to the group and the company over the previous seven years. They also expressed their support for the members’ new beginnings. They also expressed their gratitude to fans who have supported the group for years and asked that they continue to do so in the future.

Lovelyz made their debut with their first full-length album, ‘Girl’s Invasion,’ on November 12, 2014. The band went on to have chart-topping hits such as ‘Candy Jelly Love,’ ‘Hi,’ ‘Joyland,’ ‘Ah-choo,’ ‘Destiny,’ ‘Twinkle,’ and ‘Obliviate.’ Their seventh mini-album, ‘Unforgettable,’ was released in September 2020 as their final release.
