    Woman shoots two in Atlanta’s business sector, injuring one

    On this past Monday afternoon, a shooting took place in Atlanta’s Midtown neighbourhood, causing panic in the city’s financial district. Local police confirmed to that two individuals were killed and three were injured. While there has been no word on the third patient’s status since he was admitted to the hospital.

    Police in Atlanta released a statement saying they had apprehended a female suspect in two separate downtown shootings.

    Police said on Twitter that they had discovered and arrested the man without incident at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

    The Atlanta Police Department received a call of a shooting victim on West Peachtree Street around 1:45 p.m. (ET).

    “Upon arrival, officers located two people who appeared to have been shot. One of the victims died and the second victim was taken to the hospital for treatment,”  

    The second call of an injured person on Peachtree Street came in at 2:15 p.m.

    Officers said, “it is unclear what led to the shootings” and they are still trying to put together “the connection between the events,” while they emphasised the need to ascertain whether the victims were attacked by the suspect or whether any of the victims were shot at random.

    A chase that began in the Midtown district of Atlanta and finished 45 minutes later near the Atlanta Airport region resulted in the deaths of two persons and the capture of the culprit, it was later verified.

    The attack sites were located in the heart of Midtown, one of the city’s most crowded and vibrant districts.
