Wiz Khalifa fans leave mid-concert because of an unknown ruckus
As fans began leaving the Wiz Khalifa show at the Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, the rapper concluded his performance early.
A Noblesville police official told late Friday that he knew nothing about the reported shooting despite the crowd’s yelling.
No one in the front row, stage left, reported hearing or seeing any gunfire. Attendees were able to escape through the main door, although some had to climb over fences or open gates.
Khalifa and his band abruptly stopped playing and left the stage.
Some of the crowd was caught on cell phone at the Ruoff staff parking lot. Others wept and comforted one another. A few of them got away and ran into the nearby fields.
The back parking lots were occupied by police cars and an ambulance.
