Wild Cherry flavoured Capri Sun pouches were recalled due to possible contamination
Capri Sun Wild Cherry Flavored Juice Drink Blend pouches, 5,760 cases, were voluntarily recalled by Kraft Heinz on Monday.
According to the company’s announcement, only flavoured Capri Sun items with a “Best When Used By” date of June 25, 2023 are being recalled.
The company claims that a production line was contaminated by “inadvertently introduced” of diluted cleaning solution used to sanitise food processing equipment.
Consumer complaints about the taste of the impacted juices, according to Kraft Heinz, were the only source of information about the issue.
According to the corporation, “is actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove potentially impacted product from circulation.”
Anyone who has purchased one of these drinks is cautioned not to consume it, and can get their money back at the store from whence they bought it.
