Wife of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones arrested for domestic violence charge
On Christmas Eve, Austin police detained Alex Jones’ wife, a right-wing conspiracy theorist.
According to authorities, Erika Wulff Jones, 43, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Friday.
She allegedly assaulted a family member and resisted arrest, according to police. There was no indication that Alex Jones was the family member who had been harmed. Alex and Erika are parents to a kid.
“It’s a private family matter that happened on Christmas Eve,” Jones said. “I love my wife and care about her and it appears to be some kind of medication imbalance.”
This episode was blamed on Erika’s recent medication modification by Jones.
Furthermore, he said Erika’s arrest “doesn’t concern my politics,” and “wasn’t some kind of personal hateful thing or anything.” When the fatal tornadoes in the Southeast, which claimed the lives of 88 people, were blamed on government weather machines, he took to the airwaves to make his political point.
The Austin American-Statesman reported in March 2020 that Alex and Erika had previously both called the police on the other.
