WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new update called ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode
It has been claimed that the messaging app WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is in the process of distributing a new upgrade to some beta testers through the Google Play beta program. This update adds “Do Not Disturb” mode support for missed calls. The latest update will notify customers if they have missed a call due to the Do Not Disturb mode that they have enabled. According to Android Police, users will get a useful tagline immediately under the missed call history item indicating that the call was quieted by Do Not Disturb. This tagline will indicate that the call was silenced by “Do Not Disturb.”
When users open the chat thread for the individual in question, they will also get a blurb with the same information. The addition of this functionality will make it possible for users to send a screenshot of the indicator to the person who called them, thereby reassuring the caller that the call was not purposely disregarded despite the fact that the DND mode was activated. According to the source, the most current version of the WhatsApp beta can now be downloaded from the Play Store by select beta testers.
Back in June, WhatsApp introduced new features for group voice calls. These new features included the ability to mute and message members while in a group call, in addition to banner notifications. Users will see a banner notification that says “X joined the call” whenever a new person joins a group voice call and is off-screen at the time of their entrance. In addition, users have the ability to mute one another during group phone calls. When users are trying to listen to what another person is saying, the function will prevent them from listening to inadvertent background noise.
