WhatsApp displays profile icons in group conversations
WhatsApp now includes profile icons within group discussions so that individuals may be quickly and easily identified.
WABetaInfo, which keeps tabs on WhatsApp, reports that the functionality was available on iOS before it was rolled out to Android.
According to WABetaInfo, the function will make it possible to tell between people in a group who share a name. Certain Android beta testers may access the functionality right now, and more people will have access in the coming weeks.
The option to record audio status updates on iOS has just been added to the instant messaging platform’s status page. There is a notepad and a microphone in the platform’s status menu.
In the meanwhile, the service has implemented a set of administrative features into the WhatsApp group configurations. With the new regulation in place, users who wish to join a WhatsApp group must first receive permission from the group’s administrator.
