What is the Spotify Icebergify? How to Create an ‘Iceberg’ of Your Favourite Spotify Artists
With the newest method of visualizing your Spotify data, Icebergify, you can now discover how well-known or obscure your favorite artists are. Before informing users of how popular or indie their musical preferences are, the app asks users, “How deep does your Spotify iceberg go?” Icebergify analyzes the Spotify artists you follow and displays the data in an iceberg-style chart, with varying levels denoting the popularity of the musicians. The most well-known musicians, like Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, are situated right near the iceberg’s edge. The lesser-known artists are then placed below the iceberg, deep in the water, in order of popularity with the remaining artists.
Icebergify, developed by 25-year-old Akshay Raj, uses Spotify data, such as an artist’s amount of streams, likes, and followers, to estimate how well-known they are. Users may notice musicians they haven’t listened to in a while on their chart because the app incorporates data on their top 50 artists from the previous month, last six months, and previous years.
How do I access my Spotify Icebergify?
Users only need to browse the official Icebergify website and select the Create yours button in order to create a Spotify Iceberg chart. The next step is to access your Spotify account. Users must provide Icebergify permission to access Spotify data after signing up in order to generate custom charts. This website uses iceberg charts to rank artists according to popularity. By clicking the image and saving it to their PC or Mac, users can save the “iceberg” map.
