Wendy Williams went to a wellness centre, Fans show concern
Wendy Williams has made progress in her fight against illness.
A spokesperson for Williams said on Wednesday that the former anchor of the eponymous daytime talk programme had gone into a wellness clinic to “manage her overall health issues.” Shawn Zanotti elaborated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a major comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast. Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and well wishes during this time.”
Williams has not been secretive about the difficulties she has had with her health over the past year. She contracted Grave’s disease, an autoimmune illness that produces hyperthyroidism or an overactive thyroid after contracting COVID last year. She talked about her lymphedema struggles in an appearance with TMZ Live earlier this year.

Concern for Williams’ well-being has led her brother Tommy to speak up, and it has nothing to do with her health or the rumours of an alleged marriage.
“If she was around the right people, they would not have her in front of the cameras,” Tommy continued. “She’s in the wrong hands. We talk regularly and I just want her to be healthy.”
He said, “I want her back in Florida because this is where the love is. She needs to be around the people who genuinely love her. We need to get her right, but she runs from me when I tell her that.”
