In honour of Bruce Lee’s death anniversary, Shannon Lee, the legendary martial artist’s daughter, took to Twitter to confirm that production on the highly anticipated third season of the martial arts drama Warrior will finally begin this July 18.

This comes less than two years after the 10-episode second season of the Andrew Koji-led series concluded on Cinemax. The upcoming third season of Warrior is now set to premiere on HBO Max.
Warrior Season 3: Synopsis
The gritty, action-packed crime drama is created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee) through his Tropper Ink Productions label, and is set during the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late nineteenth century.
According to the synopsis, “it follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances.” “After proving his worth as a fighter, Ah Sahm joins the Hop Wei, one of Chinatown’s most powerful Tongs” (Chinese organised crime family). Season two follows rival Chinatown Tongs as they battle for dominance amid rising anti-Chinese sentiment that threatens to destroy them all.”

Kerian Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dust Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones, and Perry Yung round out the cast.
Warrior is also executive produced by Justin Lin (F9: The Fast and the Furious), Danielle Woodrow and Andre Schneider for Perfect Storm Entertainment, Shannon Lee for Bruce Lee Entertainment, Brad Kane and Richard Sharkey, and Kenneth Lin, Evan Endicott, and Josh Stoddard.
