Vance, Warren, Nash, Halifax, Franklin counties warning issued for Severe thunderstorm
One tornado warning for southern Virginia and multiple severe thunderstorm warnings for counties in central North Carolina were issued Saturday afternoon, and another was issued shortly after.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued from 5:49 through 6:45 PM for parts of southeastern Vance, Warren, northern Nash, Halifax, and northeastern Franklin counties.
On May 48 at 5:48 PM, a severe thunderstorm was positioned 11 miles northeast of Louisburg and was travelling northeast at 30 mph.
Hail as small as a dime and winds of up to 60 miles per hour are the risks. Roofs, siding, and trees will likely be damaged in this area.
Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Warrenton, Halifax, Littleton, Enfield, Weldon, Castalia, Macon, and Centerville are all affected.
