Welcome to our ‘Valheim: Roadmap And Other Updates!’ article where we bring you the latest information about several updates that just came into your favourite survival game. This Viking Hell has come a long way. Initially, he came with just our underwear and a will to live.
The game’s progression mechanism has also produced some of the best gaming jokes ever. After a year of updates, Iron Gate Studio announced Valheim’s destiny.

Roadmap Update
So yet, the game has only seen one big patch, Valheim Hearth & Home. This added a thunderstone to construct the obliterator inside Valheim, and you may now utilize your Valheim crystal shards.
The next big update will add to the Mistlands biome, which you may have already explored but has nothing to offer right now.
Its release date isn’t definite yet, but we’re aiming for the conclusion of 2022. In the meanwhile, the Mountains biome will be updated in early 2022. This developer blog has a sneak peek at the improvements.
Other Updates on Valheim
The game had a development roadmap when it originally went through Steam Early Access, which stated the following:
- Homebuilding and cooking are two aspects of the hearth and home.
- Exploration and warfare in the Cult of the Wolf
- Ships and the Sea — more’stuff’ in the Ocean biome, including boat improvements.
- Mistlands is a completely new biome that is “very cloudy and unpleasant.”
To avoid wasting time on balancing and bug-fixing, the developers chose to focus on one major achievement at a time.
