UFC 268 Results: Justin Gaethje def. Michael Chandler via unanimous decision
We’ll start with Round 1. This is a fight that doesn’t require any explanation. It’s obvious that there’s a lot of activity going on. With a leg kick, Justin Gaethje gets the fight started. Michael Chandler squanders a great opportunity. That was accompanied by a lot of venoms. Gaethje gives him a large right hand when he tries again. Gaethje’s forward lean continues. Chandler appears to be on the move. Chandler continues to be kicked in the legs by Gaethje. They’re difficult. Wow. They’re just dealing in the pocket. Both of them are aiming their weapons. Chandler manages to put together a winning combo. Gaethje kicks his opponent in the leg. Chandler fights back with a thunderous leg kick. Gaethje returns a leg kick after Chandler jabs him. With a strong right hand, Chandler misses.
Gaethje seems to have a problem with his lead leg. “Gaethje, Gaethje, Gaethje!” the audience chants. Gaethje receives another leg kick just as Chandler delivers a two-punch combo. Oh! Gaethje is a fan of Chandler’s. He’s being followed around by a group of people. He’s suffering from injuries. Chandler tries a flying knee, but Gaethje is knocked out by a punching combination that follows. It’s possible that this is going above and above the call of duty. Gaethje retaliates with a hit on Chandler, who is now completely exposed. They’ve reached an agreement. Gaethje appears to be worn down, injured, or both.
They are no longer connected. Gaethje successfully executes a left. With an uppercut, Chandler responds. Chandler strikes with a powerful right hand, putting his whole body behind every punch. He’ll never be able to maintain this kind of intensity for three rounds. With a combination, Gaethje catches Chandler’s eye. Chandler wipes his brow and enters the pocket once more. Badass. Gaethje is about to set foot on the ground. Chandler is thrown backward by two events. Gaethje kicks his opponent in the leg. The horn indicates the conclusion of around. Is this going to take another ten minutes? That was one of the finest rounds of the year, to say the least. Chandler has a score of 10-9.

In between rounds, Henri Hooft, Michael Chandler’s cornerman, advised his fighter to fight intelligently, not tough. Early on in Round 2, the pace has calmed, but who knows when it will pick up again. Kicks to the legs are exchanged. Gaethje gets a body punch from Chandler. With a leg kick, Gaethje retaliates. Chandler backpedals awkwardly as Gaethje hits a right hand.
I’m not sure if that was a possum attack or not, but he seemed injured. He advances. Gaethje punches Chandler to the ground a few moments later. Chandler is attempting to conceal his true identity. As Gaethje blasts away, he flips on his back. Chandler is warned to guard himself by referee Mike Beltran. This is exactly what Chandler does. As Chandler tries for a leg, Gaethje grabs hold of Chandler’s next. Gaethje rises up instead of walking to the back. They’re back up when Chandler follows his lead. Chandler hits the opponent with an uppercut.
With a lead uppercut, Gaethje jerks Chandler’s head back. Chandler makes an attempt at a Superman punch. They’re both covered in blood, and they’re both smiling. Savages. A clattering right hand comes with a loud Gaethje growl. Chandler takes a bite of it and swallows it whole. They are conversing. Chandler seemed to be suffering from the output. His blows aren’t as powerful. Chandler whacks Gaethje just as I finish speaking. Wait. Is that true, or not? Gaethje indicates an eye poke and asks for a timeout. Mike Beltran, the referee, calls a timeout but stays out of the ring. Chandler punches Gaethje as he turns to face him. Beltran is scrutinized by both fighters. Gaethje has a grudge towards Gaethje. I see why you’re upset. It was, without a doubt, a tongue-in-cheek jab. Beltran must enter the building. The action resumes when Gaethje declares he’s alright. The game comes to a close. 19-19.
Gaethje kicks off round three with a leg kick — and then another. Chandler shuffles to the southpaw position. Gaethje throws a jab at the opponent. Chandler picks his leg up every time Gaethje throws. He’s gotten him to reflect. Another leg kick strikes for Gaethje. Gaethje bobs and weaves into a Chandler left. Chandler scores a two-for-one. Gaethje slams another leg kick into Chandler’s head, followed by a two-punch combo.
Chandler waves him on as the audience claps. They engage in conversation. Chandler motions for him to proceed once more. They begin to converse once more. Chandler attempts a takedown and successfully flips Gaethje over. Gaethje, on the other hand, manages to emerge victoriously. They get back up after a brief period on the ground, and Chandler is waving him on. Gaethje flees into the fence after Chandler stuns him. Gaethje appears exhausted, but he continues to pummel Chandler, who has become wobbly. Keeping track of all of this is difficult. Gaethje is greeted with a wave by Chandler. What a bunch of jerks these guys are. This is one of the most well-known pieces in literature.
Chandler approaches Gaethje with his hands straight down and consumes a large meal that knocks him out. That was probably not a good idea. Chandler, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying himself. He makes a gesture at someone in the front row before pointing to the ceiling. In the final 20 seconds, Chandler zigzags and zags with a lot of movement. He tries and misses a jumping kick. The fight comes to a close after this round. What a smackdown. That was completely out of control. Regrettably, there will not be a second round. Gaethje wins, 29-28, according to MMA Junkie.
