Twitter has removed the option to send a direct message to another account directly
Many Twitter users claim that they are unable to send direct messages from their profile pages on the Android and iOS apps. According to 9To5Google, the “DM” button that once appeared beside the “Follow” and “Notifications” options has been removed and not restored.
All accounts on Twitter appear to be affected by this issue. It is unclear whether this was done on purpose, given the platform’s present usage. As stated in the article, direct messages may be sent indefinitely by selecting the appropriate account from the list of available accounts in the messaging section of the app.
Elon Musk Twitter’s CEO had said a week before that a premium membership level that would not show ads was coming out soon.
Musk said that following the next software update, the “For You” feature will be unnecessary.
