The Blazers intend to assemble their team around him in the hopes that he continues to be healthy going forward. Before the NBA Draft, Portland acquired Jerami Grant. Additionally, Jusuf Nurkic and/or Anfernee Simons are anticipated to return to the team. Anfernee Simons and Jusuf Nurkic’s return to the Blazers is reportedly planned, which would undoubtedly be a huge asset to the squad.
Lillard, Nurkic, Simons, and Grant make together a strong core. But the Trail Blazers would probably still be missing a star before they could compete on a serious level. They appear to be putting everything into these retooling attempts, so they may actually be available in the NBA Free Agency of 2022. Whatever transpires, Blazers supporters will undoubtedly appreciate their strategy. After a challenging 2021–2022 season, this team was on the verge of a complete reconstruction. Damian Lillard, on the other hand, is anticipated to return and is prepared to guide Portland back to the playoffs.
