Tragic footage shows the final moments of Cash App creator Bob Lee
Bob Lee, creator of the widely used money transfer program Cash App, was fatally stabbed early Tuesday in San Francisco. The Daily Mail received a disturbing video showing Lee desperately trying to wave down a passing car while calling for aid as he bled to death from her wounds.
Lee may be seen on surveillance footage making his way to an apartment complex before he eventually collapses. After that, he dialed 911 and pleaded for help, screaming, “Help. Someone stabbed me.”. He climbed to his feet and tried to wave down a passing car even though he was hurt.
The driver, however, abruptly took off, abandoning Lee in the middle of the deserted street. Lee, still holding his stab wounds to his chest, walked away and, presumably, sought medical attention.
Lee was given medical attention by the responding emergency personnel. The hospital later confirmed his death. As of this morning, the assailant had managed to evade capture. A kitchen knife with a 4-inch blade was reportedly found by police in a parking area close to the scene of the incident.
San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott would to clarify whether or not the attack was random at a press conference on Wednesday night. When asked what was being considered, he said, “Neither is anything being excluded or included.”
Many prominent tech industry figures, including Elon Musk, have expressed their indignation at the rising crime rate in San Francisco after the murder of Bob Lee.
Lee, a happily married father of two, was a successful entrepreneur and the product officer of a bitcoin start-up. “One of the most brilliant minds in the tech industry,” said a close friend of his.
Lee’s passing has left an empty space in the sector he pioneered, and his influence on the fields of technology and finance will last long after his death. Friends, relatives, and coworkers of Lee continue to mourn his loss and celebrate his life as the search for his murderer continues.
