Tom Holland Uncharted Movie’s Netflix Release Date Delayed
Netflix was expected to premiere the live-action Sony Uncharted movie this week, but if you went into the app this morning expecting to see it there, you were probably stuck with disappointment. It actually can’t be watched just yet and has an amended release date of August 19th, delaying its Netflix release by more than a month. The original release date for the movie was July 15th.
Those of you who have already attempted to watch Uncharted may have noticed the updated messaging mentioning the new release date. If you haven’t already, you may view the updated release date on the movie’s page on the Netflix website. Now it just states “Coming August 19th,” with the ability to create a reminder so users won’t forget when it really releases. It was still scheduled for publication in July as recently as a few days ago. However, it appears to have already been distributed in some other areas, as it can be viewed without any problems there. We’ve contacted Netflix to find out what caused the last-minute delay and to make sure that the new release date is correct.
There is an alternative to Netflix if you don’t want to wait another month to watch it and you missed its theater run. You could always see the film that way instead; it was already released on digital and Blu-ray back in May. You can see some behind-the-scenes videos from the movie to be ready for its eventual release on Netflix if you’re still willing to wait for it. There is a video that provides a deeper look at several scenes from the film, such as the action-packed scenario involving the cargo plane that was taken directly from the video games. The Nathan Drake flashbacks that were used sparingly in the movie are further explored in a deleted scene. While you wait for the movie’s new August Netflix release, you can, of course, read our review of it here.
